I use an API called Get Clicky, a web analytic that monitors my blog traffic in real time. It’s awesome and has been a great tool which allows me to see where traffic is coming from on my blog; whether it’s a google search, from Twitter, Facebook, direct links, or other social networks that I use.
It also tells me what key word searches were used that directed people to my site, the number of visitors, how much time they spent on my blog, what city, state and even the country as well as a host of other cool features. I tried Get Clicky for the 30 days free trial, loved it and decided to stay with it after my trial period was over.
For the past several weeks I’ve noticed a search for “shoes too big, shoes to small, or shoes that don’t fit.” Here are a few key word searches that Get Clicky shows landed on my post titled: “If the Shoes Don’t Fit, Don’t Wear It”:
- How to decide if shoes are too small
- Wearing shoes too big
- What happens if you wear shoes that don’t fit
- Small feet syndrome
- How to wear shoes too big
- How to wear shoes to small
- Wearing shoes that are too small for you
My guess is that they are searching for health consequences for wearing improper fitting shoes but when they land on “If Shoes Don’t Fit, Don’t Wear It”, it’s actually an article that I wrote using improper fitting shoes as analogy for not being who you are called to be, doing what you are not called to do, and living life not fulfilling the desires of your heart and trying to fit a mold or role that other people want you to fill.
Although I’m glad that the reader has an opportunity to read my post, I know it’s not quite the answer that they were searching for, but I hope that they were inspired by the analogy I gave in the article.
So… for those searching for “Shoes to big, too small or shoes that don’t fit“, I’ve decidedto list a few health consequences in case your search landed on my blog!
Wearing shoes too big or too small may result in:
- Foot Ulcerations
- Blisters & Bunions
- Athletes’ Foot
- Corns & Calluses
- Hammertoes & Ingrown toenails
- Foot aches and Heel Pain
Studies also found that most diabetes patients wore shoes that were too narrow.
It’s also important to buy shoes for your kids that fit properly. Sometimes as parents we want to buy our children shoes that are a size or two bigger to allow them to grow into them, but wearing shoes too big or too small also has its negative effects in kids as well as adults.
The search for the right fitting shoes has always been a challenge for me and I’ve often found myself wearing shoes that are too big!!
