Chicagonista LIVE Online Talk Show Debut

2009 was the year of exploring Social Media with much skepticism and caution, wondering if it was even possible to meet and connect with others genuinely and authentically; especially on a platform like Twitter via 140 characters and behind the little 1×1 inch avatar (picture).  We all know it can be a crazy world out there!

To my surprise I’ve met hundreds of Twitters over the course of the year from all over the country at various conferences and Social Media events. My quest to learn this new media led me to form friendships with diverse women from all walks of life as well as those right here in my own backyard. You’ve heard the saying, “People come into our life for a reason or a season….” and during this season of my life, I’ve connected with some incredible people including three amazing women all on Twitter at various time.

We’ve connected in such a sisterly way, often meeting for lunch, dinner, events and exchanging our thoughts or ideas and always inspiring and empowering- that truly is the power of friendship!

Today we are launching our first episode of Chicagonista Live created by MJ Tam, founder. Chicagonista Live is an interactive online talk show that is relevant to our lives and of women from all over the Chicago. We’ll be covering topics including fashion, beauty, celebrities, health, local issues, social media and all the things that are a part of our daily lives. This show is produced by Big Teeth Productions.

I hope that you will tune in at 2pm CST on LiveStream (click on link to enter or copy and paste the URL to your browser: http:www.livestream.com/chicagonista. You can even interact and chat with us in the chat box on the right sidebar). We are giving away some great prizes to kick off the new year!
