Meet Duong Sheahan
Welcome to Live Healthier and Happier by Duong Sheahan, a mother to three children, living in the Chicago area. Duong is passionate about helping people to live healthier and happier and has tapped into Social Media and the Digital Revolution as channels to fuel her passion. Duong launched a women’s health website, Beauty Secrets Spirit Soul & Body in 2007 and began blogging to educate, encourage, and empower women to achieve optimal health- physically, emotionally and spiritually. Since then, Beauty Secrets Spirit Soul and Body has evolved into what is now, Live Healthier and Happier.
Duong’s background in the ministry has allowed her meet men and women from all walks of life. She was a staff member and has also served in a leadership capacity for over fifteen years in one of the largest congregations in the Midwest, Life Changers Church. Her roles ranged from organizing women’s events, counseling women, facilitating weddings, start new ministries in a addition to being the Director of Ministry Placement, where she was instrumental in helping people to discover their place and getting them connected to the ministry.
Live Healthier and Happier is focused on lifestyle choices from the inside-out sharing practical solutions to everyday life, ranging from health and fitness, recipes, inspiration, to emotional and spiritual empowerment…and of course occasional Digital & Social Media updates on Digital Girlfriends (Social Network for women in Chicago area).
Duong’s passion for living healthier and happier inspired her to become a Biblical Health Coach and furthering her education in Health. She also worked for one of the world’s leading health expert and leader in the natural health industry; Jordan Rubin, New York Times bestselling author of The Maker’s Diet and Perfect Weight America as a Weekend of Wellness Consultant coordinating weekend health seminars and promoting the Perfect Weight America Book Tour and Campaign around the country.
Duong Sheahan’s newest projects includes being the Creator of Digital Girlfriends Social Network; co-host of Chicagonista Live (an online talk show focused on Chicago centric topics, social media, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle). Duong also writes for Shine’s Healthy Living Channel on Yahoo, Empowered Woman on Take Root and Write, and Chicago Moms Blog where she is blogging about “Day in a Life of a Mom.”
As a mother to three children ages 16, 13, and 12, Duong is dedicated to ensuring that her family receives the best care that will ultimately help them to live healthier and happier from the inside-out.
